SKS Hospital promotes generalhealth facilities focusing the mothers & children in Gaibandha followingthe right process in diagnosing diseases and providing proper treatment facilities atan affordable cost. Upholding the humanitarian spirit, the SKS Hospitalpays special attention in charging less especially for the SKS’ group members treatment. Being a well-equipped institution, the Hospital conducts modern investigation for ensuring the proper treatment in a right manner. SKS Hospital meets the emergency needs of the patients ensuring quality servicesandmaintaining collaboration with the BMA and other local facilities, and keeping follow-up facilities open for the patients.

SKS Hospital has some units to operate its normal activities through there technical supports and caring services for the customers. So, as per deigned SKS Hospital Management has separated the technical units like X-Ray, Ultra Sonogram, Pathology, Home Services for Blood Collection, ECG, Pharmacy and 24-hour Ambulance support for patient carrying. The Hospital is open for 24 hours with Emergency Services. Under its Home service package, the SKS Hospital is usually collecting Blood from customer’s residence on payment. The Doctors are available at day and night getting support from Front Desk to carry out full of pathological testing options. All staffs are working following monthly schedule and on shifting basis. And considering the medical issue as an everyday matter, the Hospital remains open on Friday and the holidays while the staffs are motivated enough and compensated as they are providing their services accordingly. The Duty Director is staying at night for emergency cases. The front desk night Manager is overseeing night clinical side such as communicating doctors and arranging operations side by side OT Supervisor and Pharmacist to supply emergency medicine packages at night. The Manager (Clinic) remains responsible for realizing patients from hospital premises with 360-degree Logistic support. SKS Hospital always promotesgender sensitivity with Zero tolerance. The Hospital Management is very aware about capacity building of its staff members through arranging professional training.Alongside, the senior staff meeting and weekly staff meeting are conducted as a regular practice to motivate and encourage good service delivery.

Backdrop

Natural calamities including flood, river erosion, drought, etc affect the northern Bangladesh especially Gaibandha every year in the form of disaster. Most miseries in the people’s life render a large number of people homeless, land-less, asset-less and loss of belongings.Alongside, striking social problems are dowry, polygamy, early marriage, physical & mental torture turn women and children’s life miserable. These also contribute to poor health&nutrition of the people. SKS Foundation has established the SKS Hospital in 2008 at Gaibandha targetting to ensure quality health services especially forthe poor & disadvantaged segments.
